Susan Drover
Founder / Creative DirectorSusan’s personal vision, “to be at home in a life built by design,” extends to everything she does. Her passion for designing environments that help people live their best lives began in 2011 with SAM Design. In 2023, Susan extended her business prowess to create DWELL by sam, an extension of SAM featuring short-term experiences that allow people to gather, linger, stay a little while, and feel at home, even if away.
In addition, Susan is a graduate and Alumni member of the prestigious Wallace McCain Entrepreneurship Leadership Program, representing more than 572 business leaders in Atlantic Canada. Among other fulfilling volunteer roles through the years, Susan was one of the early board members of NLOWE in its inception and currently sits on the Stella’s Circle Foundation Board.
Outside of SAM, her favourite things are simple pleasures, like a good fire and curated poetry. She is a proud mother to three exceptional girls and believes in living a well-styled, meaningful life. With the same entrepreneurial spirit and big dreams as her dad, SAM, Susan has carved out a successful niche in our little city.
